Middleton, Idaho

Middleton is a very affordable, suburban community in the greater Boise area. Receiving an average of only 11 inches of rain a year, sunshine and blue skies will greet you nearly every day here.

This quiet town is about 29 miles west of Boise. Middleton, along with Boise, are growing quite rapidly. Being the state capital, Boise offers much in terms of state government opportunities. Private sector jobs are even more plentiful in the area. Just south of Middleton is Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge. This refuge contains Lowell Lake, a very popular getaway among locals.

With median home prices under $400k, the cost of living in Middleton is one of it’s biggest draws. Summers can be a bit hot in the near desert conditions, but not nearly as bad as places further south like Phoenix and Las Vegas. Winters aren’t extremely cold and snowfall averages less than 10 inches a year.
